Terms of Service
The rules for using RollHire — what's allowed, what isn't, and how we keep the platform safe.
Effective date: 2026-05-22
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RollHire ("we", "us", "our") — including our website, mobile app, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use RollHire.
1. What RollHire is
RollHire is a job marketplace that connects blue & grey collar and skilled workers with employers in India. We provide the platform for introductions and basic verification. We are not an employer ourselves, not a labour contractor, and not a party to any employment relationship that results from connections made on our platform. All terms of work — wages, hours, duties, leave, termination — are agreed directly between the job seeker and the employer.
2. Eligibility
To use RollHire you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in India.
- Not be subject to any order or law that prohibits you from using the Service.
- Provide accurate and truthful information.
3. Your account
You log in with your mobile number via a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for:
- Keeping your mobile device and SIM secure.
- Not sharing OTPs with anyone — RollHire staff will never ask you for an OTP.
- The accuracy of the information in your profile.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
You may have only one RollHire account. Multiple or duplicate accounts may be merged or blocked at our discretion. If you change your mobile number, contact support@rollhire.com.
4. How job seekers may use the Service
If you are a Job Seeker, you may use RollHire to browse and apply to jobs free of charge. We will never charge you to apply, to be listed, to have your profile shown, or to "boost" your application. Anyone claiming otherwise — including someone claiming to represent RollHire — is committing fraud; please report it to support@rollhire.com.
You agree to:
- Provide truthful information in your profile and applications.
- Apply only to roles you are genuinely interested in.
- Not impersonate anyone else.
- Not pay any "registration", "training", or "deposit" fee to anyone you connect with through RollHire. Genuine employers do not demand money from candidates.
5. How employers may use the Service
If you are an Employer, you may post jobs after completing identity verification (EMAIL method using your business email, or CERTIFICATE method using a business registration certificate). You agree to:
- Post only genuine, lawful job openings with accurate salary, location, and role information.
- Not charge candidates any fee under any name — application fee, registration fee, training fee, security deposit, kit fee, or similar.
- Not collect, store, or misuse candidate documents beyond what is necessary for hiring.
- Not demand or imply any sexual, romantic, financial or unlawful favour in exchange for hiring.
- Not discriminate unlawfully on the basis of caste, religion, sex, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Treat candidate information confidentially and delete it within a reasonable time once your hiring decision is final.
- Respond to candidates you contact within a reasonable time.
5.1 Verification badge
A "Verified" badge means we have confirmed your business email or registration certificate. It does not endorse your business, guarantee your hiring practices, or insulate you from these Terms.
5.2 Employer points and pricing
Each Employer account receives 1,000 free points on signup. Each new job post costs 500 points, so signup includes two free job posts. Additional points can be purchased at ₹500 per 500 points (i.e. ₹500 per job post). Points have no cash value, are non-refundable except where required by law, and are non-transferable between accounts. Pricing may change with at least 30 days notice posted in-app and on this page.
5.3 Job post lifetime
Posted jobs are automatically marked as expired 30 days after posting. Expired jobs no longer appear in seeker feeds but remain visible in the employer's history.
6. Prohibited content and conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Post fake, misleading, illegal, or scam job listings.
- Harass, threaten, defame, dox, or stalk other users.
- Send unsolicited commercial messages.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download Service data.
- Use the Service for any unlawful activity, including under Indian penal law, labour law, or anti-money-laundering law.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt the Service.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass our verification, rate-limiting, or abuse-detection mechanisms.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of unused points, and where appropriate, referral to law-enforcement authorities.
7. Intellectual property
The RollHire name, logo, app design, code, and content (other than user-submitted content) are owned by us and protected by Indian and international intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.
You retain ownership of the content you submit (profile information, job posts, messages). By submitting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reformat, and transmit that content solely to provide the Service.
8. Third-party links and content
The Service may include links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over them and accept no responsibility for their content, privacy practices, or availability.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- Any specific job will result in employment, an interview, or any particular outcome.
- Any specific candidate will be hired.
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- Information posted by users is accurate or up to date.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RollHire and its directors, employees, and affiliates are not liable for:
- Loss of earnings, business, opportunity, goodwill, or reputation.
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Conduct of any other user — including employers who behave unlawfully, candidates who misrepresent themselves, wage disputes, workplace incidents, or any other matter between the user and a third party.
- Outages or downtime of the Service.
- Loss or corruption of user-submitted content.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ₹1,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold RollHire harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) any content you submit to the Service.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing support@rollhire.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to prevent harm to other users. Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first email legal@rollhire.com with a written description of the dispute and to attempt resolution in good faith for at least 30 days.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you must stop using the Service before it takes effect.
